PÖTTYÖS PARK ON THE ISLAND

Pöttyös was there at the Sziget Festival in 2006 too. We set up our games right behind the main stage on the avenue of nations.

THE GAMES

Pöttyös Springboard

Those who were bored of just standing around or simply jumping up and down in front of the stages could spin, roll and whirl on the Pöttyös springboard. There was even a protective rubber rope to make sure no-one got hurt.

Dot Sumo

Huge dots fought against each other in the the Dot sumo game, where everybody could find out what it’s like to be an amazing sumo wrestler. Players only had to put on the big dot costume and off they went! Even some celebrities tried this game...

Pöttyös Obstacle Race

Everybody could try the 18-metre-long pitch full of obstacles, where they had to balance on a narrow plank and try to avoid gigantic Rudis. Some people crawled, and there were some who fell and tried again.

Pöttyös Game Room

Islanders who got tired of concerts could entertain themselves with Playstation 2 games at the Pöttyös Park game room.

GIFTS

Dot Bazaar

Pöttyös Túró Rudi wrappers could be traded for all kinds of Pöttyös stuff. Cultic Pöttyös boxer shorts and cow T-shirts were a tremendous success again. There will be a Dot Bazaar next year too, so it’s worth collecting wrappers.

Dot Hunting

Islanders were very happy to wear Pöttyös stickers because those who were ‘hunted down’ by the beautiful girls in dotted dresses and handsome boys in dotted gear received presents in Pöttyös Park.

Gun Salute

Every evening at 9.00 pm we shot out various Pöttyös gifts with a Giant Pöttyös Slingshot, raining a heavenly shower of Pöttyös presents on all those who stood within range.

PÖTTYÖS IN NUMBERS

During the 7-day of Sziget Festival, more than 100,000 visitors entered the gates to Pöttyös Park. Over 50,000 tried the debuting Pöttyös obstacle race. Nearly 1,000,000 (!) Pöttyös Túró Rudi wrappers were exchanged for some kind of Pöttyös gift.

Among the most popular gifts were T-shirts and the already legendary Pöttyös boxer underwear. More than 19,000 Pöttyös presents were taken away by those who exchanged their collected wrappers, many of them arriving with several thousand.
